Here's What We Won't Do

It’s often difficult to identify the differences between companies that appear to offer similar services and, most of our website describes the things that we DO. We thought it might be helpful for you to also see what we WON’T do if you hire us as your marketing department.

WHAT WE WON'T DO

We refuse to beat our heads or yours against a brick wall. If you want a marketing team that will pound away expensively and fruitlessly at prospect indifference, waste your budget doing exactly the same thing as every other marketing company, we’re not the guys for you.

We won't play the ‘me-me-me’ game. The average prospect couldn’t care less about adjectives and platitudes like ‘caring’ ‘dedicated’ ‘committed’ – and saying it over and over doesn’t make it so anyway. It just proves you haven’t got a clue what your customers really care about.

We won't re-invent the wheel for your entertainment. Marketing is a science not an art: there are basic laws and principles that work no matter who applies them, so we won't be entertaining you with grandiose schemes and untried ‘bright ideas’. We use what works – and we know it works because we’ve tested it.

If you hire us as your marketing department, we won't work with anyone else in your geographical area. What we do is to differentiate your practice from all the others in your region. If you want our skills, you’ll get them exclusively. If you don’t, we’ll find someone who does. Once we start with you, we’ll refuse any requests from your competitors to multitask.

We won't let you write your own copy or interfere in the messaging we use. We’ll consult you on all matters technical and logistical – but we’re designing the copy for the prospect not the ghost of your Eng Lit tutor. What we say is largely up to you, but how we say it is up to us. That’s why you’re hiring us.

We won't let you shoot yourself in the foot. The biggest problem with any marketing is a one-sided viewpoint: you look out from your office, with your diplomas, nomenclature, office-culture and expensive technology and expect your prospects to be amazed and impressed. Mostly they’re not; because they’re looking in at you from the viewpoint of their concerns, fears and economic uncertainties. Knowing where you studied, or the fact that you came top of your class is not what will bring them into your office for a consult as virtually every other refractive surgeon in your area will also have impressive credentials. If you want to live in a tidy ivory tower we’re not the guys you need to talk to. Our secret agenda is to drive you and your staff crazy with a bustling, noisy reception area.

We won’t lie for you.

We won't profit from your practice until you do. We’ll charge you service fees for preparing and designing the materials we use, and you’ll pay the media placement costs and any expenses we incur on your behalf. But we won't be making a profit until your income rises above the level before we started.

We won't play unless you do. Our best and most successful working relationships are with doctors who genuinely want a bigger and better practice. Not every doctor wants that, for various reasons. However, the ground rules are simple: we’ll do our part so long as you’ll do yours.
